Please take time to think about this and pray about it.
Our nation has more debt today than every before. If you include the "promised" payment of social security and the like the per person debt load is overwhelming.
We have all lived a very luxurious life based on the feeling that their is prosperity in our future. We are loaded down with unsecured debt (credit cards and school loans) and do not have very many solid investments. Our days are very similar to the 1920's when money brought comfort and comfort brought laziness and blindness to reality.
Please educate yourself on the true position of our economy. Study the Great Depression and learn from it. Ask yourself hard and important questions:
- What would we do if we lost our house? Many of us are now upside down in our home loans. The housing market has dropped to the point that we now owe more than our houses are worth.
- Do you know how to meet your family's basic need for food, clothing, and shelter if the economy were to get really bad? Do you have any resources that would help you survive if it came to that?
-If the banks were to freeze your assets, what would you live on?
-If the dollar was to continue to fall and was to become worthless, what would you do?
Please don't think that I would in any way delight in making you uncomfortable, but please do not be deceived. Things never stay the same. We should always be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Please be willing to ask God for wisdom on how to live in this country at this time.

Hey girl! Email me @ abbeygore@yahoo.com so we can plan a get-together!
Such a scary thing to think about. We watched the American Girl movie this summer about Kit Kittredge. It really made us think about how much life today could be like it was back in the Depression era. Made me start thinking about what other families we would be willing to move in together with to share costs. Haha! Funny but not!
